I received my product with freight damage, what should I do?

A. If the driver is still there

  1. “INSPECT ALL SHIPMENTS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE DELIVERY DRIVER LEAVES”.  Upon receipt of shipment i.e. time of delivery, you must notify carrier of product shortage or damage.  Be sure carrier notes damage or shortage on all copies of Freight Bill/Delivery Receipt.  Grundorf will file the claim on your behalf.  Contact Grundorf immediately to advise of problems with a delivery.  Grundorf will make arrangements for the item to be picked up.
  2. DO NOT REFUSE THE SHIPMENT! Even if the outer carton is damaged, the contents may be okay.  Only refuse shipment if you can see physical damage to the contents of the package.  If the shipping carton arrives in rough condition, inspect the package contents before signing for it.  If there is damage to the contents, follow step #A.1.

B. If the driver has left or damage is found later.

  1. If you discover damage or shortage after delivery, IMMEDIATELY REPORT THE DAMAGE TO THE CARRIER AND REQUEST AN INSPECTION.  IMPORTANT:  KEEP ORIGINAL PACKAGING!  Generally you will be required by the carrier to file a written claim within a short period of time from original delivery date.  In this case you will be responsible for filing all claims.  You are also responsible for payment of the original invoice and any replacement charges.

REMEMBER
Grundorf Corporation carefully inspects each product prior to shipment and is not responsible for any merchandise damaged or lost during transit once the carrier issues a receipt to us.
