Service Procedures

1. Request a Return Authorization Number

Download, print and fax, or fill in online and email the Grundorf Service Request Form. Fax to 712-322-3407 or email to  You will receive a reply which will include a Return Authorization number.  Include this form inside the box with the item being returned for repair.

2. Warranty Service

On the Grundorf Service Request Form, please indicate this is a warranty repair.  You must also enclose a copy of your dated sales receipt.  This is required for all warranty repair claims.

3. Non-Warranty Service/Repairs

Payment information must be supplied on the Grundorf Service Request Form. Acceptable payment methods are Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.  Dealers are required to pay according to established terms.

4. Packaging

The return item(s) should be returned in original packaging if possible.  If not available or suitable, it is recommended to securely package the item(s) in a sturdy cardboard carton with a minimum of 2” padding around each item for protection during shipment.  If any item(s) is received with shipping damage due to improper packaging, it may void any warranty claim and additional repair charges may apply. 

5. Shipping

It is highly recommended you use a carrier that provides tracking numbers if you want to know the delivery status of your return.  You should also be sure your items are properly insured.  All inbound shipping costs to Grundorf are the responsibility of the person requesting the service work.  All validated warranty repairs will be returned with outbound shipping charges being prepaid by Grundorf.  Non-warranty outbound shipping charges will be added to the invoice with the repair charges.  We typically return via Fed Ex Ground service. Please return shipments to the address on the Service Request Form.

6. Estimates

If you would like an estimate prior to repair, you must check the appropriate box on the Grundorf Service Request Form.  It is very important that you include a daytime telephone number and email address on the form.  We will call or email the quote following the inspection of the product(s).  There will be a $25.00 charge per item plus outbound shipping charges for all declined estimates.  There is no charge for accepted estimates.

7. Repair Time

Turnaround time for repairs is typically 5-10 business days from the date the repair is received at Grundorf.  We will do everything possible to repair product(s) received via OVERNIGHT delivery within 24 hours.  We will also return ship the product(s) via OVERNIGHT delivery.  All other delivery methods to the Grundorf Service Department are subject to the standard repair time.
